The Edward L. Keenan NCEEER Endowment is a tool for establishing a fund, in order to generate income which can be used to support research projects with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia.  The fact that contributors can deduct the amount of their gifts from their federal tax returns is an incentive. The Endowment's bylaws will be very flexible, and allow it to participate in a wide variety of projects that will benefit basic research on an individual or collaborative basis for American scholars and policy-makers and their colleagues from the region.
